The Socorro Independent School District invites employees, parents, students and community members to attend a series of informational meetings about Proposition A, the Voter-Approval Tax Rate Election (VATRE), to learn more and ask questions. If approved, SISD Proposition A would generate $49.2 million in new funding for teacher and staff compensation, student programs, safety and security, technology, and HVAC and bus replacements.

The voter registration deadline is Oct. 5. Early voting is from Oct. 19 to 30, and Election Day is Nov. 3. Click here for more information about Prop A.
