At Hueco Elementary, we are excited to help every student look their best and be ready to learn! Our dress code promotes a positive, focused learning environment while giving students opportunities to show school spirit throughout the week. Please review the grade-level dress code information below and help ensure your child comes to school dressed for success. Together, we shine!

Grade-Level Dress Code

Pre-K & Kindergarten

  • Orange polo shirts only

Grades 1st - 5th

  • Polo shirts in:

    • Yellow

    • Maroon

    • White

Universal District Uniform (All Students)

  • White polo shirt

  • Tan khaki pants

Uniform Bottoms (All Students)

  • Khaki pants

  • Jeans (regular blue or black)

  • Jean shorts*

  • Skirt-shorts (skirts)*

  • Jumpers*

* Must be Fingertip Rule: Hem must extend beyond fingertip length.

Important Dress Code Reminders for All Students

  • Polo shirts are required Monday through Thursday.

  • Mondays are Free Dress Days: All Students with No Absences, No Pull outs (unless a Doctor note is presented for Pull out), and No Tardies Monday through Friday of the previous week may receive free dress.

  • Fridays are Spirit Shirt Days. Students may wear any Hueco spirit shirt, SISD t-shirt, or SHS t-shirt.

  • Clothing must be school appropriate.

  • No logos, large graphics, slogans, pictures, or offensive content.

  • Bottoms must be solid-colored with no holes, rips, excessive fading, embellishments, or designs.

  • Shorts, skirts, and jumpers must meet the fingertip-length requirement.
