Dear James P. Butler Families,

As the school nurse, I would like to remind our families that James P. Butler Elementary is a strictly peanut-free campus. Please help us ensure the health and safety of all students.

Several of our students have severe peanut allergies, and even trace amounts of peanuts or peanut products can trigger life-threatening reactions. To maintain a safe environment for everyone, we kindly ask for your cooperation with the following:

· Do not send any food items containing peanuts or peanut butter in your child’s lunch or snacks.

· Carefully check labels on all food items, as some products may contain peanuts or be processed in facilities that handle peanuts.

· Encourage your child to wash their hands after eating, especially if they have consumed nut products at home before coming to school.

If you have any questions or need further clarification, please feel free to contact the health office.

Thank you for your continued support in keeping our students safe.

Warm regards,

Michelle Soto, RN, BSN
