Hello, this is Jennifer Marquez, principal of Sgt. Jose F. Carrasco Elementary School. I am calling to inform you that we activated a secure safety protocol this morning due to a report of gun shots in the area. Under the secure safety protocol, students and staff stayed in their classrooms or learning areas and business continued as usual. Students were safe under the supervision of school faculty and staff. District police investigated the situation and deemed the area safe. The secure was lifted and students are continuing their day on normal schedule. Thank you for your continued trust and support of Carrasco Elementary School and Team SISD.

Estoy llamando para informarle que nuestra escuela ha sido puesta en un protocolo de seguridad seguro esta mañana debido a un informe de disparos en la área. Bajo el protocolo de seguridad, los estudiantes y el personal permanecieron en sus aulas o áreas de aprendizaje y continuaron como de costumbre. Los estudiantes estuvieron seguros bajo la supervisión de la facultad y el personal de la escuela. La policía del distrito investigó la situación y declaró el area segura. Se levanto la medida de seguridad y los estudiantes continúan su día en el horario normal. Gracias por su continua confianza y apoyo a la primaria Carrasco y al Equipo SISD.
