The Socorro Independent School District will host its 15th Annual Father-Son Conference from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 19 at El Dorado High School. The goal of the conference is to help fathers and sons bond and explore topics such as college and career opportunities, self-defense, dangers of social media, and many other interesting sessions. All SISD 6th through 12th grade boys are invited to attend with their father or father figure. The event is free to all participants. Participants are asked to donate non-perishable items to give to families in need.
