The Socorro Independent School District will be conducting information nights for parents that are interested in their child being part of the Dual Language Academy in SISD (see dates below). All sessions will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The program is currently available at four campuses: Myrtle Cooper Elementary, Bill Sybert School, Hueco Elementary and Dr. Sue A. Shook Elementary. Additionally, a new academy will open at James P. Butler Elementary for the 2026-27 school year. The district will be accepting applications for districtwide incoming 4-year-old Pre-K students.
