Socorro Independent School District high school students are gearing up for homecoming festivities this fall, including dress-up days, pep rallies, football games, and dances. Families and the community are invited to join in the celebrations. Read more below for details.
Americas High School will celebrate its homecoming week themed “Blazers Take Time Square” from Sept. 8 to 13. The homecoming parade will be at 6 p.m. Sept. 10, followed by the school's annual carnival in the Americas High School courtyard. The homecoming game will be at 7:30 p.m. at SAC I on Sept. 12 against Pebble Hills High School. The school's homecoming dance will begin at 8 p.m. Sept. 13 at Americas High School.
Dress up days:
Sept. 8– Manhattan Monday (Dress up like a New Yorker, Wall Street business mogul or trendy fashionista!)
Sept. 9– Friends Day/Twin Tuesday (Who's the Rachel to your Monica, or the Joey to your Chandler? Plan to twin with that friend!)
Sept. 10– Stock vs. Jock (Dress in business or like a competitive athlete.)
Sept. 11– Tacky Tourist Thursday (Find your 'I ❤️ NYC’ t-shirts and dress like an over-the-top NYC tourist.)
Sept. 12– Spirit of the City Friday (Dress to impress and show your school pride by wearing Blue, Red, and Gold.)
Eastlake High School will celebrate its homecoming week themed “A HOCO LOST IN TIME” from Sept. 15 to 20. The homecoming parade will be at 6 p.m. Sept. 17, followed by the community pep rally in the high school’s main field with a firework show as the finale. Click here to register your float for the parade. The homecoming game will be at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 18 at the SAC I against Rio Rancho High School. The school's homecoming dance will be from 8 p.m. to midnight Sept. 20 in the Eastlake High School patio. Tickets for the dance will be sold online on HomeTown Ticketing for $35. Students will not be allowed into the dance after 10 p.m.
Dress up days:
Sept. 15 – Support your team and wear a jersey.
Sept. 16 – Turn the clock back and wear a Y2K outfit.
Sept. 17– Roam the halls (dino costume or hide with camo wear).
Sept. 18 – Game Day! Wear school colors and Hoco mums.
Sept. 19 – Make the halls your red carpet and wear a flashy fit.
Eastlake HS homecoming parade guidelines
El Dorado High School will celebrate its homecoming week with the theme “Empire of Legends: Heroes vs. Villains” from Sept. 2 to 6. The homecoming parade will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 3, followed by the school's tradition of the Birth of the Aztec Sun. The homecoming game will be at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 5 at the SAC II against Austin High School. The school's homecoming dance will be from 8 to 11 p.m. Sept. 6 at SAC II galleries. El Dorado Feeder Schools Dress Up Days
Socorro High School will celebrate its homecoming week themed “Decades, Socorro Turns 60” from Sept. 8 to 13. The homecoming parade will be at 6 p.m. Sept. 11. The homecoming game will be at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 12 at the SAC II against Bel Air High School. The school’s homecoming dance will be from 8 p.m. to midnight Sept. 13 in the high school’s cafeteria.
