“We are proud to have Socorro ISD and 16 of our campuses named to the 2025 Texas Honor Roll,” said Superintendent James Vasquez. “This statewide honor affirms SISD’s ongoing commitment to closing achievement gaps and providing exceptional educational opportunities for every student. I commend our students and staff for their outstanding achievement contributing to this prestigious honor.”
This is the eleventh year that ERP has completed the Honor Roll list, which recognizes top public schools, school districts and charter schools in Texas.
The annual ERP Honor Roll program is part of a national effort to engage business leaders in recognizing successful schools and educational systems and promoting best practices that improve student outcomes.
Honor roll schools are recognized for demonstrating consistently higher levels of student achievement, improvement in achievement over time, and a reduction in achievement gaps among student populations. The program utilizes 2025 public school achievement data, including STAAR (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness) results from 2023–2025, to identify successful schools and districts.
This year’s Honor Roll is being presented in collaboration with the Texas Business Leadership Council.
