Good afternoon Stallion community,
Our track and field season officially begins March 19th. Practices will be from 3:30-5:15 PM Monday through Friday, with the exception of holidays. Athletes should bring their practice clothes, a good pair of regular running shoes, water, and should have a physical on file. Please make sure that athletes are picked up promptly after practice.
Hello Stallion community, our students vs teachers basketball game is scheduled for Friday, March 1st: Tickets are only $3 and they will be sold during lunch by our parent volunteers beginning Monday, February 26, 2024. Students must have a school ID to purchase any tickets to school events. Students with a referral for this nine weeks & excessive absences (5 or more for any period) will not be approved to attend the event, each students behavior record clears every nine weeks. If a student needs to purchase a replacement ID, they may do so before or after school with Mrs. Edita Machin for only $5. Please see the attachment for our flier and alternate bell schedule. We will have an alternate bell schedule on Friday, December 15th. Early release for students will be at 12:05 pm, we ask that all parent and guardians make arrangements for our Stallions to get home safely, buses will depart at 12:13 pm. Backpacks will not be allowed on campus and deliveries will not be accepted. Tickets to our teachers vs. students volleyball game are only $3.00. 8th grade students and their parents are invited to learn about the SISD’s advanced academies and how to apply during two virtual sessions and one in-person session.
Two virtual sessions will be Tuesday, November 28 and Wednesday, November 29. An in-person presentation will be Thursday, November 30 at the District Technology Service Center, 12440 Rojas Building B. For the virtual and in-person meetings, a general session will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Individual academy talks and visits will be from 7 to 7:30 p.m.

Stallions, on Friday, November 17th we will have an alternate bell schedule on campus to be able to host the Slider Games. 6th grade lunch will be from 9:14 am to 9:48 am. 7th grade lunch will be from 10:24 am to 10:54 am. 8th grade lunch will be from 10:57 am to 11:27 am.
Stallion community, interim testing is here. All students will need their laptops and chargers to complete their assessments. The following days have been scheduled for testing:
- Monday, November 13 for RLA, all students
- Tuesday, November 14 for mathematics, all students and
- Wednesday, November 15 for science, 8th graders only
We ask that you take a few moments to review the attachment included on this message to help our scholars prepare for testing. If you have any questions regarding testing, contact our campus testing coordinator Ms. Martinez at 915.937.5400.
