TSIA2 Test Prep & Dual Credit Eligibility
Subject: Information About TSIA2 & Your Child’s Upcoming Test
Preparation
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Our campus serves 8th grade students who are eligible to take and will be participating in the Texas Success Initiative Assessment 2.0 (TSIA2), a statewide exam that helps determine whether students are ready for college-level reading and writing. This assessment plays an important role for students interested in enrolling in dual credit courses, as meeting the TSIA2 benchmark is one of the key requirements for participation.
To support student success, we will be offering a TSIA2 Test Boot Camp designed to strengthen essential academic skills and help students meet the required college-readiness standards. Participation in these sessions will better prepare students for the exam and increase opportunities to take dual credit classes.
Dual Credit allows students to:
• Earn college credit and high school credit at the same time
• Save time and money on future college coursework
• Experience college-level expectations early
• Strengthen their academic and career pathways
Your student will participate in the TSIA2 on May 12, 2026. We appreciate your partnership in helping our students prepare for college and career pathways.
For questions, please contact:
• Assistant Principal Ms. Daniela Gonzalez at 915-937-5400.
