Montwood Science Fair Announcement
Dear Parents,
We are excited to announce our annual Montwood Science Fair, taking place on November 12, 2025! This event provides our Honors, Synergy, and P-Tech students with a fantastic opportunity to explore their scientific interests and develop essential skills in research and problem-solving.

Science Fair Date: November 12, 2025
Registration Deadline: August 31, 2025
Project Submission Deadline: September 15, 2025

SISD District Fair: January 31, 2026 - Socorro HS
Sun Country Regional Science and Engineering Fair (SCRSEF): February 14, 2026 - Bel Air HS
Texas Science and Engineering Fair (TXSEF): March 27 & 28, 2026 - Texas A&M
International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF): May 2026 – Location TBD
Parents are encouraged to offer emotional support and reminders but should allow children to complete their projects independently.

There will be GED classes in April through the SISD Community Education department. Registration is April 29 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, and April 30 from 4 pm to 6 pm. Registration and testing lasts 1-4 hours in person at Options High School, 12380 Pine Springs Dr. See the Community Education webpage for more information.

Montwood High School's Biomedical Students will host a Body Dysmorphia Awareness showcase Jan. 21 at 5:30 p.m. at the MHS Theater. It is free and includes a community panel Q&A, followed by a gallery walk from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Featuring contributions from middle school students throughout El Paso and postgraduate students from UTEP and NMSU.
