To ensure everyone is on the same page regarding the start of our season, please review the upcoming football practice schedule and safety guidelines below.
As a reminder, student-athletes must complete 4 practice days in a helmet before they can be issued shoulder pads. Following these initial 4 days, players will transition to full pads for the remainder of the season.
First Practices (During Intersession)
• Dates: Wednesday, October 7th & Thursday, October 8th
• Location: Montwood High School Football Field
• Time: 9:30 AM – 11:20 AM
Intersession Schedule:
• 9:30 AM: Player Arrival
• 9:40 AM – 10:00 AM: Team Stretch
• 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Individual & Team Drills
• 11:00 AM – 11:15 AM: Team Conditioning
• 11:15 AM – 11:20 AM: Team Meeting & Dismissal
October 12th & 13th Practices (School Resumes Oct 14)
• Time: 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM (This after-school schedule will remain standard for the rest of the season)
• 3:30 PM: Player Arrival
• 3:45 PM – 5:15 PM: Individual & Team Practice
• 5:15 PM – 5:25 PM: Team Conditioning
• 5:25 PM – 5:30 PM: Team Meeting & Dismissal
Required Practice Uniform (All October Dates):
• Shirt: Plain white shirt
• Helmet: Approved football helmet
• Shorts: Blue, green, or black athletic shorts
• Footwear: Football Cleats
• Safety Gear: Mouthpiece

Stallion community, the following action is required by all Stallion families. Parents we need your immediate assistant to complete the Socioeconomic Form in Skyward as soon as possible. Completing this form helps ensure our scholars continue receiving free breakfast and free lunch.
The online form is quick and easy. It only requires answering four questions and takes less than one minute to complete online. The information provided is confidential and will not be shared, but a form must be completed for each student.
All students were provided a one page form to take home with directions to complete these steps.
All forms must be submitted by the time we return from break to avoid further delays in school coding records.
If you need assistance, you are welcome to contact the PEIMS Office or schedule an appointment for in-person help.

Hello, this is Brandon Rios, principal of William D. Slider Middle School. I am calling to inform you that we received a report that a student made a potential threat to our school. We take every concern seriously and immediately reported the information to district police who investigated the situation. There is no evidence of a viable threat to students or the campus. The student who shared the threat has been identified and has been addressed. Parents, please help us by reminding your children of the gravity and the serious consequences that they will face if found to have made a threat to a school or individual, whether made as a joke or not. Please remember to adhere to the dress code: no torn jeans, slippers, pajamas, leggings, yoga pants, short shorts, or clogs are allowed. Each student must have their free dress pass with them at all times. Failure to present the card may result in a dress code infraction, and please note that there will not be replacement cards issued for lost or stolen passes.
Get ready to enjoy a week of free dress!

All threats are taken very seriously, and it was immediately reported to authorities, who have investigated the situation. Officials have deemed this post as NOT credible and there is no known threat to our school. Thank you to the individuals that shared the information with us so that we could promptly investigate. Parents, please help us by talking to your children about the gravity of threatening online posts and the serious consequences that result, whether they are made with the intent to fulfill or not. If you ever receive any information or reports of a threat, please take it seriously and immediately report it to the police. Do not share it online.
