Good afternoon Stallion community, as we continue to move through week 4 of marking period 4 we wanted to remind our Stallions about the free dress pass that students qualified for April 2025. Most student have followed the dress code reservations as indicated on the free dress pass but we still have a few students who are not complying with our campus expectations. If any student with a free dress pass is out of dress code for the following items, Administration will continue to revoke the free dress pass. These items include but are not limited to: torn jeans, sandals, slippers, crocs, clogs, yoga pants, pajamas, crop tops, low cut shirts and female leggings.

On Thursday, April 17th we will be hosting our Spring dance hosted by our student council, concessions will be sold by our SCEI coaches.
Tickets are only $3.00 and they will be sold during lunch by our parent volunteers beginning Monday, April 14th. Students must have an ID to purchase any tickets to school events. Students with a referral for this nine-weeks will not be approved to attend the event, each student’s behavior record clears every nine weeks. Students with 4 or more unexcused absences will not be approved to purchase a ticket. If a student needs to purchase a replacement ID, they may do so before or after school with our campus secretary Mrs. Machin for only $5.
School Dance Schedule:
· 6th grade during 1st period 1:19 p.m. – 2:22 p.m. Dance: 1:37 to 2:22 PM
· 7th & 8th grade combined during last period (2nd) of the school day from 2:45 PM to
3:30 PM

As we move through this nine weeks, we wanted to remind our community about the student contract that was sent in March 2025. Over the past few days we have seen an increase of student referrals which have resulted in students losing privilege's to participate in end of year programs. As a campus, we are asking our school community to speak to our scholars about making good decisions, being nice and kind to one another, to not post anything inappropriate on social media accounts and to respect the school environment, teachers and personnel at William D. There will be GED classes in April through the SISD Community Education department. Registration is April 29 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, and April 30 from 4 pm to 6 pm. On April 2, 2025, our school will participate in a STAAR Rally at Montwood High School to motivate and prepare our students for the forthcoming STAAR assessments. The STAAR Rally is designed to be an engaging and uplifting event, featuring activities that will enhance students' confidence and enthusiasm for their examinations. The rally will include motivational speeches, enjoyable games, and interactive sessions that underscore the importance of performing well on the STAAR tests. Slider Middle School will be using Rooms within the Socorro ISD app on a trial basis this spring semester to enable two-way communication among teachers, parents, and students. Rooms is fully integrated into the district app so that parents can have one app for everything in Socorro ISD.
