The district’s Grow your Own Grant allows instructional aides to earn their bachelor’s degree and certification to transition to full-time teachers. In our Teacher Residency Program, student teachers gain hands-on learning experiences alongside teacher mentors. We are committed to recognizing the contributions of outstanding teachers and staff throughout the year. Employees are recognized at board meetings, in the district newsletter, and during special events, including SISD’s annual Teachers of the Year gala.
