Socorro Independent School District high schools are getting ready to celebrate homecoming this fall with a variety of activities, including dress-up days, pep rallies, football games, and dances. Families, alumni and community members are encouraged to join in the festivities and show their school pride. Read more below for details.
Americas High School will celebrate its 30th anniversary during its homecoming week from Oct. 19-24. The homecoming parade, pep rally and carnival will be Oct. 21. The homecoming game will be Oct. 22 against Horizon High School. The school's homecoming dance will be from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. Oct. 24.

Eastlake High School will celebrate its homecoming week themed “Soarin’ Over Rio” from Sept. 8 to 12. The homecoming parade will be at 6 p.m. Sept. 10. The homecoming game will be at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 11 at the SAC II. The school's homecoming dance will be Sept. 12. Tickets are $35.
Dress up days:
Sept. 8 – Carnival Kickoff! (Students wear their favorite soccer jersey or any other sports jersey.)
Sept. 9 – Welcome to the Jungle!! (Students' attire consists of different kinds of animal print and jungle gear and prep for the HOCO parade.)
Sept. 10 – Copacabana Craze (Students wear tropical shirts and beach attire outfits.)
Sept. 11 – Mums and Honoring 9/11. (Students wear their mums and wear white to honor and remember those affected by 9/11.)

El Dorado High School will celebrate its homecoming week with the theme “Empire State of Mind: A Night in New York” from Aug. 31-Sept. 5. The homecoming parade will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 2, followed by the school's tradition of the Birth of the Aztec Sun ceremony and a fireworks display at the El Dorado High School football field. The homecoming game will be at 7 p.m. Sept. 3 at the SAC II against Eastlake High School. The school's homecoming dance will be from 8 to 11 p.m. Sept. 5 at SAC II galleries. Mission Early College High School will celebrate its homecoming week from Sept. 8 to 11. The homecoming pep rally will be at 2:45 p.m. Sept. 11. The homecoming dance will be from 7:30 to 11 p.m. Sept. 12.

Montwood High School will celebrate its homecoming week themed "Emerald City Limits" Sept. 8 to 12. The homecoming parade will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Sept. 9. The homecoming pep rally will be Sept. 11. The homecoming game will be at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 11 at the SAC against Americas High School. The school's homecoming dance will be at 8 p.m. Sept. 12 at the school. Tickets for the dance will be $35 per person and $40 per person the day of the dance.

Sept. 4 - Festival Fit Friday (Dress in music festival attire and gear)
Sept. 7 - Labor Day, NO SCHOOL
Sept. 8 – Move to the Beat (Dress as your favorite artist/genre)

Sept. 11 – RAMS Rolling Loud (MHS Spirit Day)

The homecoming game will be on Aug. 26 at the SAC II against Burges High School. The school’s homecoming dance will be from 8 p.m. to midnight Aug. 29 in the high school’s cafeteria.
