The #TeamSISD celebration is one of five simultaneous celebrations across the country, distributing 150,000 free books in a single day. The Socorro event, AFT and First Book gave away 40,000 free books bringing the total number of books distributed in TX to well over 1.2 million.
#TeamSISD hosted a District Art Show Open House today. The show recognized elementary, middle and high school art show winners from the 2023-24 school year. In total, 550 awards were presented and 10 students were selected for the Superintendent’s Choice Awards. Congratulations!

#TeamSISD celebrated students in the district’s Health Professions Academy. The event also honored the first cohort of students accepted into the TX Tech University School of Nursing in partnership with the TX Tech University Health Science Center Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing’s High School Pipeline Program.

A banner presentation was made to @Montwood_MS who has been named a Texas School to Watch as part of the national recognition program. The school was among approximately 60 other campuses across the state of Texas with this distinction and honor. Congratulations, Moose Country!
Congresswoman Veronica Escobar announced the winners of the 2024 Congressional Art Competition. Congrats to Angel Navarro from @PHills_HS for winning third place for his artwork entitled Sunsets at the Gas Station. EP Museum of Art which will display artwork until August 4th.

Family, friends and #TeamSISD faculty and staff celebrated 51 @Eastlake_HS Falcon Early College students at tonight's stole ceremony. These remarkable Falcons will receive their associate degrees from EPCC on May 10. Congratulations!
Board of Trustees honored six #TeamSISD high school student councils for earning the National Gold Council of Excellence from the National Student Council. Congratulations to these distinguished student councils!

#TeamSISD hosted the Military Summer Splash to show appreciation and support for military-connected students enrolled in our schools. The event allowed military-connected students, siblings, and parents to enjoy the pool and celebrate their achievements of the school year!
